Sorry, but I'm going to rant for a moment...
This morning I went on dA, and saw I had one note unread. Checked it, and saw this:
The work(s) listed below have been removed by staff due to a violation of deviantART policy or because its theme or content was judged unacceptable. Your deviantART submissions must obey certain guidelines and restrictions.
If you are uncertain why the submission was removed or if you have any questions or believe this removal to be an error please contact the deviantART Help Desk.

The administrator who deleted your deviation added the following:
A member of staff has reviewed a report concerning this deviation and has determined that the character(s) depicted in a nude, erotic or sexually compromising situation are established as being under the age of 18 in their original context.
Official policy does not allow such depictions, so this deviation has been removed and should not be resubmitted.
FAQ #248: Are there restrictions on art using children or teenagers (fictional or otherwise)?
If you believe that this action was in error please contact deviantART customer service and file a "Policy Inquiry" help.deviantart.com/contact/?c…

(By the way, I do draw ecchi, and also things that I do not upload here in the first place. Sorry
)
The drawing they removed was a picture of Hatsune Miku after falling over, with her panties in full view. I assume because someone felt the need to report it...
This is now the SECOND time I've had one of my drawings removed; the other drawing was a picture of Azusa (a cropped version of which is on my profile page).
I'm sorry, but, this really is pathetic... I can kinda understand the first instance (because, I'll be honest, she was nude behind a guitar), but this time it's just ridiculous. The guidelines on this site are completely absurd for "underaged characters"; it's purely a fictional context. But, for them to remove something as simple as a pantyshot, really is questionable.
I've actually seen two great artists get suspended now: Dfer32 and Eudetenis (in fact, looking at Eudetenis' profile it appears to be deactivated now, which is really sad).
deviantART are going to annoy and drive away more and more users (some of them very talented artists), with their policies and philosophy. They are now likely to move to sites like Pixiv, where you do not find such levels of irrationality (and, in my opinion, Pixiv is just a far better site in almost every way, mainly because you actually have FREEDOM to upload art).
Therefore, I can see myself doing the same thing in the future. I don't know when, but it's likely I'll stop using dA altogether and fully use Pixiv. It's a shame, because I really do see such beautiful art on this site.
If you read this, thank you. And I'm sorry for the rant, I just had to get it out here.
